Tummy Tuck #13
This young woman lost a large amount of weight via diet and exercise. She had substantial skin laxity along her abdomen, waist and hips. She was treated with an extended tummy tuck with skin removal in both the vertical and horizontal domains, thus requiring a scar that runs along the pelvis and also vertically along the length of her abdomen. This type of tummy tuck is called a Fleur de Lis abdominoplasty. The addition of the vertical scar allowed us to remove as much skin excess as possible and yields a much better post operative result for this particular patient.
