Breast Lift Surgeons in Seattle, WA
Breast lift surgery, or mastopexy, is a cosmetic breast lift procedure that restores a youthful shape to the female breast by reshaping and redistributing sagging breast tissue. A breast lift can also reposition the nipple and areolar complex into a more ideal position. A breast lift can also remove unwanted breast volume to make the breast smaller and more compact. A breast lift with breast implants can be used to increase breast volume and impart additional shape. Breast lift surgery is often one of the surgical procedures selected by women as part of their Mommy Makeover surgery set of procedures.

What can I expect during my breast lift surgery?
The breast lift surgery will be performed as an outpatient, with anesthesia provided by board-certified anesthesiologists. This type of surgery takes approximately 2 to 3 hours. Drs. Cooper and Sattler design a breast lift procedure that is unique and tailored for each patient’s anatomy. Peri-areolar, vertical "lollipop," and “Wise-pattern” incisions are used depending on how much sagging the breast has. The goal of the breast lift surgery is to reposition the nipple and areola to a cosmetically ideal position on the breast and to reshape the breast into a perkier and more youthful form. We typically do not use surgical drainage tubes during breast lift surgery. The use of Exparel, a long-acting local anesthetic helps to speed recovery.
"I'd become healthy, active and spent over a year taking care of myself in every way. I wanted to be proud of my body in every way too. This just wasn't the case after breastfeeding 2 children and losing a significant amount of weight. I sought consultation from multiple, excellent plastic surgeons in the area and decided that a breast lift surgery with breast implants was the best decision for me."
What is the recovery time like after my breast lift surgery?
Recovery time after breast lift surgery is usually rapid. Individual results will vary, however most patients recover and are back to work and social activities in just a few days.
Patients frequently inquire about the appearance of breast scars after breast lift surgery. In our experience, scar quality after breast lift surgery is excellent. A breast lift patient is essentially exchanging a substantially improved breast size and shape for a set of surgical scars on the breast. Breast scar quality tends to improve with time. The photo above demonstrates typical breast scar quality seen in our patients just a few months after breast lift surgery.
