Constricted or “tubular breasts”, is a condition caused by improper proliferating of the breast tissue during puberty. This results in the lack of breast tissue, enlarged or collapsed areolas, and/or oval shaped breasts. Because tuberous breast correction requires a particular set of skills that are unique to this type of breast anatomy, it’s important to speak to a professional who has experience in properly assessing and diagnosing this condition. The surgical plan used for this 24-year-old patient consisted of a breast augmentation with a silicone breast implant, as well as a mastopexy to reduce the areola diameter.
