Earlobe Repair and Reduction
What is Earlobe Repair and Reduction?
Earlobe repairs are for people with torn, or split, earlobes. An earlobe reduction is a procedure that reduces the size of the earlobe. Just like with breasts and faces, earlobes are not immune to the effects of gravity; sagging earlobes is a natural part of the aging process.
How Is Ear Lobe Repair Performed?
The repair process does not take a long time and is typically done in an hour or two. The procedure can be performed as an office procedure and is usually done under local anesthesia. During the procedure, incisions are typically made along the split or tear to create a fresh wound. Once this is done, scar tissue is removed, and the ear lobe is then stitched back together.
