Body contouring after major weight loss is often the final step of the weight loss journey!
Many patients come to us after they have lost 100 pounds or more looking for a way to get rid of the excess skin that they are often left with. Sagging skin of the upper arms, abdomen, and thighs are common. Additionally, sagging breasts, loss of breast fullness, as well as loss of buttock volume are frequent concerns of our major weight loss patients.
At Sound Plastic Surgery we have a wealth of experience in dealing with these issues. We really enjoy helping weight loss patients through the final stage of their weight loss journey by addressing the redundant skin issues that bothers so many. Arm lifts, breast lifts and reductions, tummy tucks, and lower body lifts all help to restore contour after weight loss.
Dr. Cooper and Dr. Sattler also work as a team in the operating room performing operations together such as combined circumferential lower body lifts and breast lifts, thereby decreasing the amount of time that their patients are in the operating room. By operating in tandem Dr. Cooper and Dr. Sattler are able to safely combine procedures for patients that might otherwise have to be performed separately due to prohibitively long operating room times.
Providing our patients with a better contour of the arms, breasts, abdomen, thighs, and buttocks is very rewarding, and we enjoy being part of the final chapter in our patients’ weight loss journey.
